Opening Night: 1st of December

Hundred Years Gallery proudly presents the 3rd issue of HYG Editions, a curated collection of works on the theme of “Fact and Fiction”. A number of the pieces will be on show in the ground floor space from the 1st to the 18th of December.

The project brings together a group of works by seven artists with a strong interest in the nature of representation in contemporary society. Touching on range of subjects and approaches to art making, the exhibition offers interesting perspectives on the often ambiguous relationship between the notion of reality and the creation of imagery. From sarcastic corporate subversive material to direct documentary photography of homeless in the east end, the show intends to help raise the voice of artists questioning our perception of the physical and digital environment.

Artist include:

Owen Oppenheimer, Anna Burel, Rupert Jaeger, Karl-Peter Penke, Mervyn Diese, Sabine Delafon, Ben Coiacetto.

HYG Editions supports artists from a wide rage of backgrounds and educational levels, with an emphasis on presenting a rich spectrum of views and opinions and to generate value and availability for their work. Proceedings from the project help fund our work at hundred years gallery and to sustain the program of exhibitions and music at the space.
