photoLive video stream with Creative Centre PSYforte in Moscow hosted by artist Victoria Kovalenko

Creative Centre PSYforte is a group of experts in therapeutic phototherapy and moving image from Russia and abroad, specialising in projects which help to improve interpersonal relationships, using methods based on the techniques of phototherapy, art therapy and digital storytelling.

Contributors include Fiona Yaron-Field and Spencer Rowell.

Victoria Kovalenko (b. Siberia, Russia) graduated in MA Photography from the Sir John Cass, LMU in 2010. Her photographs and collages have been featured in numerous exhibitions in London and most prominently at the Krasnoyarsk Museum Centre and the Primorskiy State Museum in Vladivocstok, Russia. She currently lives and works in London.

Fiona Yaron-Field is a practising artist who has been using photography for over 25 years. She is a qualified Arts Psychotherapist and holds an MA (distinction)in Photography.  Fiona has published ‘Up Close,a Mother’s View’ (Bunker Hill Publishing,2008). In her book she describes, through image and text, her relationship with her daughter Ophir who has Down’s Syndrome. She is a founding member of Shifting Perspectives –  International Touring Exhibition challenging existing images of Down’s syndrome. participphotography facilitator which enables marginalized groups to use photography to represent themselves, to communicate their experience and to raise awareness.

Spencer Rowell is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist practising in Soho, London. His present research documents the intersubjective experience between self-portrait in analysis, his thesis ‘An Exploration of Pathography within Phototherapy, An Analysis of the Photographic Self-Portrait’ will be available in the summer.
