Saxophonist, and clarinettist, Ricardo Tejero‘s work ranges through improvisation, his own compositions, and conduction of large orchestras. He is also a music educator, teaching saxophone and clarinet as well as leading music workshops for large ensembles.
Ricardo began playing alto saxophone in 1992. Initially self-taught he then studied with Wade Mathews. In 1998 he started playing improvised music under the guidance of Chefa Alonso at the same time as he was playing in various bands doing Latin music, jazz or Spanish popular music. In the same year he formed, together with other musicians, his first improvisation ensemble SOPLATHAT, who played an active role in Madrid’s improvisation scene of late 90’s.

As an improviing musician, ‘cellist Paloma Carrasco Lopez has worked with Maggie Nicols, Ilan Volkov, Keith Tippett, William Parker and Agustí Fernández, also collaborating as a performer with composer Fran M. M. Cabeza de Vaca, engaging with highly enriching creative processes. She has been involved in various multidisciplinary projects, with visual artists, poets and dancers. Together with Ricardo Tejero she is a member of the improvising duo BRUO.

Alison Blunt‘s fascination with sound, motion and space has led her into international projects exploring boundaries between art forms and new music. She has performed throughout the UK, Europe, Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and the USA and is a member of several large and small projects including ‘music terrorist’ string trio Barrel, Berlin-based HANAM Quintet, Austrian/British Barcode Quartet, Pierette Ensemble and London and Berlin Improvisers Orchestras. She has worked with a diverse array of artists, ensembles and theatre projects. Her activities include commissions for radio, film, theatre, dance and performing, composing, arranging and recording all kinds of music. Alison refuses to be pigeonholed. ”Alison Blunt’s playing is unique. Eerie, gut-ripping rattles and chokes from hell are interrupted by ringing notes of heavenly hope. I have never heard anything like it…” Jeffery Taylor, Sunday Express

Roberto Sassi is a guitarist, originally from Italy, now based in London. He has been playing, recording and touring extensively with Italian bands Cardosanto and Anatrofobia from 1993 to 2006 finding his musical path on the borders between hardcore-punk, jazz, improvisation and electronic music. He played & performed with the MGZ & Le Signore techno-theatre collective from 1992 to 2006.
