Terry Day is a free improvised music genius with a unique style. He was a founder member in 1965 of the legendary People Band, in which he played drums and myriad other instruments. Alongside this he contributed to some notable improv bands: Alterations with Steve Beresford, David Toop and Peter Cusack, Derek Bailey’s Company, and The Promenaders with Lol Coxhill. He makes his own bamboo pipes, writes poems and is known to play the balloon.
Grahame Painting plays guitar in the Horseless Headmen and cello and percussion in Jerico Orchestra and over three decades has contributed cello, bass, guitar, drums, percussion, sound effects and vocals to Family Fodder, of which he has twice been a member. He has performed with many leading figures in the London experimental music scene.
Keisuke Matsui is a London based guitarist from Kyoto, Japan, with a unique approach to the instrument, creating shifting sound layers using preparations, lo-fi electronics, and amplified objects.
Adrian Northover can currently be heard playing on the London club scene with a wide range of musicians, including the London Improvisers Orchestra, as well as doing solo saxophone performances. Recent gigs include playing at John Russells ‘Qua Qua’ festival, performing to films with Trip-tik at The Cinema Museum, and various gigs at The Horse Improv Club.
